Unscripted Moments – Street Photo Festival 2025 lands in Athens with a simple promise: bring your most authentic street frame and put it on the wall. The open call centers on the theme “Unscripted Snapshots”. Entries close on 30 September 2025, submission is free, and the exhibition runs 13–21 December 2025 at the Athens School of Fine Arts. From the works selected for the group show, the top three entries earn solo exhibitions in 2026, with the first prize adding €500. If you track the best photography competitions on Deartline, this one deserves a close look within the landscape of street photography contests.

“Unscripted” is the cue. Street photography thrives on the unplanned and the unstaged; that’s the spirit this festival asks for. The jury for awards comprises Brad Jones and Eleni Mouzakiti. It’s tangible rewards that align with both cash prizes and exhibition opportunities, the kind many photographers chase for long-term careers in exhibition.

Getting in is straightforward. Send one to three printable, high-resolution photos that fit the theme. If selected for the exhibition, a €40 participation fee applies, covering part of the festival’s costs such as venue hire, printing and curation. Authors keep copyright and the organizers may use selected images for festival promotion with credit. If your practice leans toward candid storytelling and human encounters, this call sits right where street photography awards meet real-world gallery exposure.
