About the Jury
The 18th PHOTOLAR 2026 jury is composed of the winners from the last seven editions of the contest. These previous winners will evaluate five galleries preselected by Gráficas LAR.
Should a previous winner decide to participate in this edition, they will lose their position on the judging panel and their place will pass to the winner from the edition held eight years ago, and successively if necessary.
If a judge does not vote within seven days of receiving the galleries, their vote will not be included in the final score. In the event of a tie between two or more participants, the contest organization will make the final decision.
The twelve winning photographs must belong to the same photographer, meaning that only one author will be selected as the winner.

Rules
Each participant must submit a complete gallery of 12 photographs, one proposed for each month of the year. Images must follow the theme of “Sail” and must be in landscape orientation and in color.
AI-generated images are not allowed and will result in immediate disqualification. The organizer may request pre-processing or original files to confirm that the photographs were produced with a camera and were not generated using artificial intelligence.
Participants under 18 may enter, but parental or legal guardian permission will be required if their gallery is preselected for final evaluation.
The photographs may initially be submitted at 72 dpi or in low resolution, including a personal watermark. If selected, the winner must provide the twelve photographs within ten days at a resolution and size suitable for printing. A minimum of 300 dpi and approximately 30 × 20 cm is recommended.
If any winning photograph does not meet the minimum technical quality required for printing, Gráficas LAR may reject the jury’s decision and select another winner.
Copyright and Image Usage
Photographers retain full copyright and moral rights over their images. Gráficas LAR does not acquire ownership or other rights over the photographs solely through participation in the contest.
During the judging phase, submitted photographs may be published on the organizer’s website, Facebook page, or other social media platforms solely to promote participation in the contest. Gráficas LAR will contact the photographer for authorization before publication. Declining this use will not affect the photographer’s participation.
Published images will be displayed in low resolution and will include the photographer’s name. Entrants may also provide photographs with their own watermark.
Non-winning images will be deleted after the contest. Any use outside the purposes described in the rules requires the photographer’s express permission, and every use of a photograph, whether selected or not, must clearly identify its author.
If a submitted photograph includes a recognizable person, the photographer must have permission to use that person’s image. When the person shown is a minor, consent from their parents or legal guardians is required. Entrants are responsible for any third-party rights affecting the submitted photographs.
