Categories or Themes

There is one central theme: Landscapes. The brief includes sweeping natural views, quiet rural scenes, city skylines, seascapes, mountains and imagined places influenced by memory or emotion.

The interpretation is broad enough to accommodate both representational and more experimental work. Photography is explicitly eligible, making the challenge relevant to photographers exploring landscape photography contests without limiting entries to conventional views of the natural environment.

The Landscapes Art Challenge closes at the end of October, with results and the Best in Show award following in November.

How to Enter

The first artwork is entered free, while additional pieces should be included within the same application rather than through separate submissions. Entrants must own the rights to the artwork and imagery they submit.

Why Enter Landscapes Art Challenge by Ten Moir Gallery?

The Landscapes Art Challenge by Ten Moir Gallery gives photographers considerable freedom in how landscape is interpreted. A conventional mountain or coastal view can sit alongside an urban scene or an image in which landscape is constructed through memory, atmosphere or imagination. Photography also receives its own Runner Up recognition alongside traditional media, rather than appearing only within a general list of selected artists.

The option to submit one image without an entry fee makes it possible to take part without committing to a larger paid submission. Beyond Best in Show, the finalist and selected-artist structure also creates several levels of online visibility, including permanent listings and curated collection features. Photographers looking to compare this call with other current opportunities can also browse Deartline’s best photo competitions.

We reviewed the official rules of the Landscapes Art Challenge by Ten Moir Gallery 2026 to summarize the key participation requirements, copyright terms and image usage conditions. Before entering, we recommend checking the complete rules published by the organizer.

Rules

The challenge is open internationally to emerging and established artists aged 18 and older. Photography is accepted alongside painting, sculpture, mixed media and digital art. Entrants must own the rights to the artwork and imagery they submit.

Ten Moir Gallery evaluates entries using criteria including craftsmanship, presentation, interpretation of the landscape theme, composition, creativity and technical skill. Its monthly challenge information states that judging is blind.

Artists retain copyright and intellectual property rights to their work. The challenge page states that selected works may be used on the Ten Moir Gallery website, in curated challenge collections, newsletters and promotional channels, normally with the artist’s name and, when provided, a link to their website or portfolio.

The general Terms of Entry contain broader provisions. They grant Ten Moir Gallery, its affiliates and advertising or promotion agencies an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display, publish and otherwise use submitted material in connection with the awards and their promotion. The terms also permit derivative works and contain provisions concerning editing, attribution and moral rights.

This wording is broader than the challenge page, which states that Ten Moir Gallery does not sell, license or claim ownership of submitted work. Copyright nevertheless remains with the original artist under the general terms.
