Where has your camera taken you? AAP Magazine Travels is a global call for photographers to share their journeys, inviting you to submit a cohesive body of work that explores the world, near or far. This is your chance to have your portfolio published in AAP Magazine and win a share of $1,000 in cash prizes. Judged by All About Photo’s Editor in Chief, Sandrine Hermand-Grisel, the competition is looking for distinctive visual stories about travel.

The Early Bird deadline is October 16, 2026, with the regular deadline on November 10 and an extended deadline of November 13, 2026. AAP Magazine Travels is not just about a single destination; it is about storytelling through travel. The call is open to all genres and photographic styles, from grand landscapes to intimate cultural portraits. Whether using a large-format camera or a mobile phone, the emphasis is on the strength of the images and the cohesiveness of the portfolio.

We are always on the hunt for the best photo challenges online, and this one stands out for its focus on a complete body of work and its publication opportunity.

The top three photographers will receive cash prizes, and a total of 25 winners will have their work published in the 62nd printed issue of AAP Magazine. This publication prize gives selected photographers the opportunity to present a cohesive project in print, alongside permanent inclusion in the All About Photo Winners Gallery.

AAP Magazine Travels is centered on the single, expansive theme of “Travels”. There are no separate categories, allowing photographers to submit their best and most cohesive work without being limited by genre. The call is open to any interpretation of travel, from exploring distant lands and cultures to documenting journeys close to home.

This makes it an ideal platform for photographers working in travel photography contests, as well as genres like landscape, portraiture, and documentary photography awards. The key requirement is that the submitted images form a unified body of work or portfolio.

If you want to join photography challenges online that value cohesive, project-based work, AAP Magazine Travels offers a format built specifically around photographic portfolios and visual storytelling.

We reviewed the official rules of AAP Magazine Travels to summarize the key participation requirements, copyright terms and image usage conditions. Before entering, we recommend checking the complete rules published by the organizer.

Rules

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction. All genres, capture types, color and black-and-white photography, and traditional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome.

Submissions should form a cohesive body of work or portfolio, as only a unified group of photographs can be published in AAP Magazine. Images previously published in AAP Magazine cannot be submitted again. The judging process is blind and takes place over two scoring rounds.

Photographers retain full copyright to their images. By entering, participants grant All About Photo a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use submitted images in connection with the competition and its promotion.

Permitted uses include judging, exhibitions organized by All About Photo, the All About Photo website, competition books or magazines, and promotional materials. All About Photo may also sublicense entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the competition. Photographer credit is provided when images are exhibited or screened by All About Photo.
