Three Artist Show by Dusk Gallery takes a portfolio-focused approach to the traditional photography open call. Dusk Gallery will select just three artists for a curated group exhibition in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Each photographer will receive space for a substantial body of work, with 6, 8 or 12 images allocated depending on the selected series. The submission deadline is September 24, 2026, and the exhibition runs from November 6–27, 2026.
The gallery is looking for cohesive series or strong portfolios held together by subject, tone, color palette, conceptual framework or recurring visual language. A total of 26 photographs will be selected. For photographers browsing current photo contests, that structure makes this call particularly relevant to artists who already have a developed series.
Entry fees are listed as $40 for five images or $45 for up to ten images. Selected photographers must also provide high-resolution files shortly after notification. Dusk Gallery is a submission-based fine art photography space located on West San Francisco Street in the heart of Santa Fe’s gallery district.

Categories or Themes
Three Artist Show does not use predefined categories or impose a single photographic subject. Instead, the defining requirement is that the photographs work together as a series. Dusk Gallery is looking for portfolios unified through subject matter, visual tone, color, concept or another recurring photographic language.
This makes the call particularly suited to photographers working on a sustained project. The emphasis on series and narrative cohesion also places it naturally alongside portfolio photography contests, although the final outcome here is a physical group exhibition rather than a conventional ranked award.

About the Jury
The juror is Holly Hart, fine art photographer and founder of Dusk Gallery. Her photographic work has been exhibited and published internationally, while her role at the gallery combines the perspectives of practicing photographer and curator.
Dusk Gallery states that jurying begins after the submission deadline and that applicants are contacted with results within two weeks. Detailed scoring criteria and information about anonymous judging are not published.
Why Enter Three Artist Show by Dusk Gallery?
The limited number of selected artists is what distinguishes this call from many of the best photography contests photographers may be comparing. Instead of sharing an exhibition with dozens of entrants, each of the three selected photographers receives enough wall space to present a recognizable series, with the gallery covering the costs of producing and framing the work.
That makes Three Artist Show by Dusk Gallery most relevant to photographers who already have a coherent project and want to see how it functions physically as a body of work. Its Santa Fe location adds another concrete element: Dusk Gallery operates in the city’s established art district, close to Santa Fe Plaza and the galleries of Canyon Road. The absence of additional printing and framing fees after selection also makes the exhibition outcome easier to evaluate at the point of entry.
