Emotions by Ten Moir Gallery takes one of the broadest subjects in visual art and gives it a simple focus: how an image can communicate what words often cannot. Joy, grief, longing, tension, love and vulnerability are among the ideas suggested by the organizer, with photography explicitly accepted alongside other visual media. The challenge opens on October 1, offers a short free-entry period through October 5, and closes on December 31, 2026.
Best in Show receives $150, an artist interview, a Moir mini spotlight, homepage placement and a free entry to the Blue Sky Artist Award. Runner-up photographers and other finalists receive additional online features, certificates and continuing listings. For photographers browsing photography contests, this is primarily an online recognition opportunity, with the emphasis placed on curated presentation, editorial features and lasting digital visibility rather than a physical exhibition.
The Emotions by Ten Moir Gallery is open worldwide to entrants aged 18 or over. Photography, digital art and a range of traditional two-dimensional and three-dimensional media are accepted. Artists can enter a single work or build a larger submission of up to ten images, while the judging criteria include craftsmanship, presentation, interpretation of the theme, composition, creativity and technical skill.

Categories
There are no separate photographic categories. All entries respond to the single Emotions theme, which centers on the visual expression of human feeling.
The brief suggests everything from powerful portrait work and intimate personal moments to symbolic imagery and expressive abstract approaches. Joy, grief, longing, tension, love and vulnerability are examples rather than fixed subcategories, leaving photographers considerable freedom in how directly or indirectly they address the theme.

Why Enter Emotions by Ten Moir Gallery?
For photographers, the interesting aspect of Emotions is its position inside a broader art challenge. Photographic work is evaluated alongside other visual media under the same thematic premise, which places greater emphasis on how convincingly the image communicates an idea or feeling than on belonging to a particular photographic genre.
Photographers comparing the best photography competitions may also want to distinguish between headline prizes and the recognition available beyond first place. Here, the $150 Best in Show award is accompanied by interviews and editorial features, while runner-up photographers receive their own recognition and the Top 15–20 finalists retain permanent online listings.
The short free-entry window also provides a way to submit one photograph before deciding whether a larger paid entry is worthwhile. With packages extending to ten images, the format can accommodate either a single strong interpretation of the theme or a broader selection of work.

The terms extend these permitted uses to Ten Moir Gallery’s affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies. The Emotions by Ten Moir Gallery general terms also provide for publication with or without name credit and contain a waiver of moral rights to the extent permitted by applicable law.
