Submissions are organized into two formats: Photo and Video. The Photo category accepts one PhotoStory containing five to 15 images. A multimedia project that includes video as part of the same body of work should also be entered as one project under Photo. The Video category accepts a trailer of up to 60 seconds.

Across both formats, “Brave New Visions” is the shared curatorial focus. Work may respond through intimacy, care, confrontation, invention, refusal, new aesthetics, or imagined worlds. The project should carry a distinct visual language and a meaningful position in relation to the present.

The Brave New Visions: Creativity as Rebellion global open call runs from May to September 2026, giving artists several months to prepare and submit a photography, video, or multimedia project.
