Night 2026 by The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is a month-long exhibition dedicated to the atmosphere and artistry of night photography. Photographers can submit their work for free, and only those selected for the show will be asked to pay a participation fee of £48 to cover printing and installation. The selected images will be exhibited in Glasgow from 2 – 30 April 2026, with each participant featured both on the gallery walls and in its online gallery and printed catalogue. Every selected photographer also receives a digital certificate as part of the exhibition recognition.

The submission deadline is 17 November 2025. Acceptance emails go out by 21 November, and the participation fee (for selected entrants) is due by 5 December. If selected, the gallery manages printing and installation using standard display sizes. This is an international open call and no professional status is required. For broader planning, Deartline keeps an updated list of photography competitions to help you map out the year.

The theme runs from dusk through dawn: city light, quiet landscapes, and everything in between. If night work is part of your practice, this exhibition sits naturally alongside other night photography contests. The gallery states that rights remain with the photographer and that selected images may be used to promote the Night 2026 by The Glasgow Gallery, which is clearly outlined in its terms.
