International Artistic Photography Awards 2026

International Artistic Photography Awards 2026

The International Artistic Photography Awards 2026 (IAPA 2026) returns with an expanded category structure and a $1,000 Grand Prize for the overall Photographer of the Year. Open to photographers worldwide, the competition spans 16 photographic categories and accepts both individual images and series. The final submission deadline is October 15, 2026.

IAPA is built around photography as a form of individual expression and visual storytelling, with subjects ranging from portrait and landscape to drone, mobile photography, documentary work, abstraction, and photo manipulation. Recognition includes the IAPA Trophy, certificates, press coverage, a Winners Gallery, social media promotion, interviews, and inclusion in the digital and print annual book.

The 2026 edition is judged anonymously by an international panel of photographers and photography professionals. Deartline’s list of photography competitions provides a broader view of current opportunities, while IAPA offers photographers the option to enter individual photographs or develop a cohesive series of up to seven images.

How to Enter

Photographers register or log in through the IAPA website, complete the submission form with the credit name, image title, description, and selected category, and then upload the photographs. Files should be JPG, use the sRGB color space, measure between 1000 and 1500 pixels on the longest side, and remain under 2 MB.

For series entries, photographs should be numbered in order of importance, with the strongest image presented first. Entries cannot be changed once payment has been completed.

About the Jury

The 2026 jury brings together photographers and photography professionals from several countries. The panel includes Saeed Almarri of Qatar, Franklin Neto of Portugal, Muhammad Almasari of Jordan, António Coelho of Portugal, Austrian photographer and Leica Camera Ambassador Laurin Strele, and IAPA founder Sara Goli.

Judging is anonymous: participants’ names and personal information are hidden from the judges while the work is being evaluated. The competition does not publish a detailed scoring framework, but the panel is presented as the group responsible for reviewing and selecting the awarded photography.

Why Enter International Artistic Photography Awards 2026?

IAPA has broadened considerably since the previous edition, moving from 12 categories to a current structure of 16. That range allows photographers working in established genres such as portrait, landscape, documentary, and street photography to enter alongside work created through mobile photography, drones, abstraction, or image manipulation.

The option to submit either individual images or a series also gives photographers two different ways to present their work. A single photograph can compete independently, while a series of two to seven images can develop a theme or narrative across a more substantial body of work. Anonymous judging and a published international jury add a clearly defined selection structure.

Photographers can find more photography challenges online through Deartline, while IAPA can be particularly relevant to those looking for a combination of cash recognition, annual book publication, online visibility, and category-based awards across a wide range of photographic practices.

We reviewed the official rules of the International Artistic Photography Awards 2026 to summarize the key participation requirements, copyright terms and image usage conditions. Before entering, we recommend checking the complete rules published by the organizer.
