The Passepartout Photo Prize 2024 is a biannual contest that aims to support the development of talented photographers from all over the world. The contest provides a platform for photographers to gain international exposure, with the opportunity to participate in an exhibition in the heart of Rome, cash awards, and publication in partner magazines.
Passepartout Photo Prize 2024 is open-themed, accepting photographic works of any kind of artistic style, size, and technique. This includes digital, film, experimental processes, digital collages, and other mixed media. Even AI-generated images as a part of the photographic process are accepted. One of the first photography competitions to do this.
The annual exhibition takes place every autumn in Rome, Italy. It is hosted by the gallery 28 Piazza di Pietra, an international gallery specializing in contemporary art of both emerging and established international artists. The gallery is located in the historic center of Rome, where local and international visitors and art collectors gather.
The Passepartout Photo Prize 2024 prizes
The Passepartout Photo Prize 2024 awards a total of 1,000 euros in monetary prizes every year. The main award, the Passepartout Photo Prize, comes with a cash prize of 500 euros. In addition to the cash prize, the winner also gets the opportunity to participate in the collective annual exhibition in Rome.
There are also sponsored prizes, such as the CSF Adams Prize, which includes a portfolio review and workshop. All winners, regardless of the prize they receive, are featured in the online gallery, on Instagram, and get the opportunity to be interviewed

Submission deadlines and entry fees
The call for entries for the 9th edition of the Passepartout Photo Prize opened on May 10th, 2024.
The early bird deadline, which comes with a reduced entry fee of 20 euros for 3 images, is on June 10th, 2024. After the early bird deadline, the entry fee increases to 25 euros for 3 images. Additional images can be submitted at a cost of 4 euros per piece.
The final deadline for submissions is on October 7th, 2024.
