The British Wildlife Photography Awards 2025 (BWPA) is a prestigious event that celebrates the beauty and diversity of British wildlife. Open to photographers from all over the world, this competition welcomes images of nature taken within the UK. The competition is a unique opportunity for both professional and amateur photographers to showcase their talent and passion for wildlife photography, while contributing to the appreciation and conservation of British wildlife.

The BWPA competition is not just about winning, but about celebrating British wildlife, discovering and exploring the natural heritage, and inspiring others to appreciate and conserve wildlife. The winning images are published in a beautiful coffee-table book, Collection 12, and tour the UK in an exhibition, providing a platform for photographers to reach a wide audience and engage all ages with evocative and powerful imagery.

The British Wildlife Photography Awards 2025 offers a substantial prize fund of almost £10,000. The coveted title of British Wildlife Photographer of the Year is awarded to the photographer whose single image is judged to be the most striking and memorable of all the entries. This title comes with a cash prize of £3,500, including the category prize. This significant reward not only recognizes the talent and effort of the winning photographers but also encourages more photographers to participate and showcase their creativity and love for British wildlife.

The competition is open to individuals from any country, but only images taken in Britain or the British Isles are accepted. The Adult Competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or above on the 2nd June 2024, while the Youth Competition is open to individuals aged 17 years or below on the same date.
