Monochrome 2025 by PhotoPlace Gallery zeroes in on what makes black-and-white compelling: light, shadow, form, and texture. The juried exhibition invites entries through September 8, 2025, with selected works shown in Middlebury, Vermont, this November. It’s a focused call aimed at photographers who want their images judged for tonal nuance and craft, with selections split between a physical exhibition and an online presentation. If you’re tracking photo contests with real-world showcase opportunities, this one is squarely in that lane.
The brief is clear: submit monochrome photographs that live and breathe value, contrast, and surface. The juror will choose up to 35 images for the Exhibition Gallery and up to 40 for the Online Gallery. All selected works appear permanently on the gallery’s site, are included in a printed catalog, and are promoted on social media with links back to each photographer. Entry fees are $39 for up to 5 images, plus $6 for each additional. For prize-driven planning, the project aligns with black and white photography contests and connects naturally with both exhibition and publication outcomes.

Why Enter Monochrome 2025 by PhotoPlace Gallery?
The combination of a physical gallery show, a permanent online archive, and a printed catalog offers sustained visibility for strong monochrome work. The blind jury process keeps the focus on the pictures, while straightforward logistics (optional in-house printing and framing) reduce friction for distant artists. If you’re planning a calendar around most creative photo challenges online, this exhibition’s timeline and deliverables make it a practical anchor in late 2025.
