InterAction, a leading alliance of international NGOs and partners, is excited to announce the launch of its InterAction’s photo contest 2024! This annual competition provides a unique platform for photographers to share their impactful work that captures the essence of humanitarian and development efforts worldwide.
The InterAction Photo Contest 2024 invites photographers to submit compelling images that highlight innovative, effective, and inspiring initiatives in international relief and development. These photos tell stories of resilience, hope, and progress, showcasing work conducted outside of the United States.
The contest is open for submissions from April 22 to June 7, 2024, until 11:59 p.m. EDT. Anyone over 18 years old (except current InterAction employees) can participate. Images should be 300 dpi or larger, with a minimum size of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 USD, and three runners-up will each receive $150 USD. All winners will be featured in InterAction’s online gallery.
The contest encourages a wide range of themes, such as self-sufficiency, innovative technology, shared values and the provision of humanitarian aid. This is one of the photo contests in which photographers are free to explore and capture the heart of their chosen themes.

The InterAction’s photo contest 2024 prizes
- Grand Prize Winner: $1,000 USD
- The winning photo will be digitally displayed at InterAction’s Forum 2024, scheduled for June 26-27 in Washington, D.C.
- Three Runners Up:
- Each runner-up will receive $150 USD.
- Their photographs will also be digitally displayed at the Forum.
- Six Honorable Mentions:
- These photographers will have their images showcased at the Forum as well.
Additionally, all winners (Grand Prize, runners-up, and honorable mentions) will be featured in InterAction’s online gallery.

The deadline to submit your photos to the InterAction’s Photo Contest 2024 is June 7, 2024.
