Unleash Your Creativity in the Ocean Conservancy’s Annual Photo Contest. The Ocean Conservancy is thrilled to announce the return of its Annual Photo Contest. This prestigious event invites photographers from around the globe to showcase their talent and passion for the ocean and its inhabitants.
The contest is open to all, seeking the most inspirational images across three categories: Marine Wildlife, Human Impact, and Spectacular Seascapes. Whether it’s a breathtaking shot of a coral reef, a poignant image of human impact on our ocean, or a captivating portrait of marine wildlife, the Ocean Conservancy’s Annual Photo Contest wants to see it all.
The contest offers a grand prize of $1,500 for the Judges Choice, selected by a panel of judges based on the quality of the entry and how well the images convey the theme of the contest. In addition, there are three category prizes of $300 each, awarded to the entries that receive the most votes during the voting period.
Submissions are open from May 2 to May 28, 2024, followed by a public voting period from May 29 to June 6, 2024. The winners will be announced on June 26, 2024.
All winning photos will be featured on the Ocean Conservancy website and social media. The Judge’s Choice winner will also be featured in Ocean Conservancy’s 2026 calendar.

The Ocean Conservancy’s Annual Photo Contest 2024 prizes
Grand Prize – Judges Choice: The grand prize is a cash award of $1,500. This prize is awarded to the entry that is selected by a panel of judges as the best overall entry. The judges base their decision on the quality of the entry and how well the images convey the theme of the contest.
Category Prizes: In addition to the grand prize, there are three category prizes of $300 each. These prizes are awarded to the entries that receive the most votes during the voting period in each of the three categories: Marine Wildlife, Human Impact, and Spectacular Seascapes.
