The Naturajazz 2024, or the XI International Festival of Jazz and Nature Photography, invites photographers from around the world to showcase their nature photography in an event that combines stunning visuals with live jazz performances. This highly anticipated festival takes place annually in Tenerife, Spain, and is organized by the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) in collaboration with the Autonomous Organization of Museums and Centres (OAMC). The festival seeks to celebrate nature’s beauty through photographic exhibitions projected during live jazz concerts, offering a unique fusion of art forms.
Photographers can submit their best wildlife images in various categories, with a clear emphasis on nature photography, excluding images of animals in captivity or human-altered landscapes. A total of twelve projects will be selected, six from the Canary Islands and six from around the world. Selected photographers will have their work displayed during the festival, and they will also be eligible for significant cash prizes, including a grand prize of €4,000 for the top project.
The deadline for submitting preliminary projects is October 27, 2024, with winners being announced on October 30, 2024. The contest is free to enter and is open to both amateur and professional photographers, making it one of the best free photography competitions of the year. To enter, photographers must submit 20 representative images of their project through the festival’s website. Those selected will later need to provide a total of 100 images for final consideration and exhibition.
